That Man Is A Success Poem

One of the oldest pages posted in my site is a poem called "Success" by Bessie Anderson Stanley. This is a much beloved poem, by myself and many, many others. Over the last four years, I have vigorously defended this poem and the author. I've received dozens of letters claiming that I had attributed the poem to the wrong person.

Beautiful thesis on success by: downtoearththinking.com We are all far to consumed in materialism as sort of yardstick to measure success. This poem is spot and there are many more ways to succeed than simply our bank account and stuff ! She states that the above poem "was written as the winning entry in a contest run by Brown Book Magazine in 1904." What I found interesting, and somewhat confusing, was to compare Bessie Stanley’s poem with a version of "Success" supposedly written by Robert Louis Stevenson. This version of the poem follows: That Man is a Success Who has. That woman is a success . .
